Powercotton * stockinette

DIFFERENT FABRICS

POWERCOTTON 100% COTTON

Powercotton are long cotton threads. These are extremely suitable to experience with figurines or sculptures. But you can also use it decoratively in a painting to obtain more texture. You can even make scales with it. Cut the threads to size, rub them well with Powertex and. apply to your artwork. A very handy tip to make it easier to work: Twist the long strands of power cotton around your hand and rub it in with Powertex. This prevents you from making a mess.

PAPERDECORATION IN DIFFERENT COLORS AND PACKAGING: 30G, 40G EN 500G

Paperdecoration is a natural product made from the bark of the mulberry tree. It is a fantastic product to create figures and textures in paintings. The bleached version (Paperdecoration white) looks more like lace and is thinner than Paperdecoration Natural (brown), which is stiffer and has a thicker texture. Discover for yourself which colors are available in our website. These are of course also extremely suitable for all kinds of decorations and to use with Powertex Transparent and Ivory (with Powertex Ivory you get pastel shades). If the paperdecoration is too stiff, spray a little water over it. Attention: not too much because the structure will fall apart then. Tip: Spread a layer of Powertex on your surface, stick a piece of paper decoration in it and paint another layer of Powertex over it. Do not use too much Powertex to not hide the structure.

STOCKINETTE

Stockinette is a very stretchy fabric that is made of 100% cotton, which makes it ideal for hardening with Powertex. It is available in white and ecru. Cut the fabric to size and rub Powertex into it. Attention, your piece will stretch 2 to 3 times its size. Wring out the excess of Powertex and drape the fabric at its best. Finish with dry brushing your artwork using Powercolor and Easy Varnish. A piece of Stockinette can also be used to press texture in Stone Art clay or Easy3DFlex.

If you want extra texture and contrast in your work, do not hesitate to combine all kinds of materials: Use Powercotton, Stockinette and Paperdecoration in one piece with Stone Art and Powertex. “The sky is the limit.”
